There is something about the
presence of a cat... that makes
their humans feel truly loved.

Mook is a Ruddy Abyssinian.

He is a genuine
 "people person"  and he's demonstratively
affectionate, and
a consummate
toy hunter.  His two favorites are laser lights and chasing sticks in a circle till his head spins.
He seems to really
 like the 'buzz'!

"I'm... too sexy for my
whisker's... too sexy
for MY WHISSSSKER'S...
Me, OOooww I'm just
toooooo sexxxxy!!!"

 Ohhh Yeeeah, did you
SEE her tail twitch?

King of the
Lazy-Boy!!!

Mook is a wonderful example of the "wild" look that is characteristic of Abyssinian's.  He is a BIG boy and has a wonderfully "jungle cat" like appearance.  He is also the most talkative of all our Aby's.  He is also very special in that he doesn't spray, which makes it possible to allow him access to our home that avoids the typical confinement that most stud cats suffer.  For a Stud Cat, Mook is  a very gentle and loving boy, lacking the aggression that many males display towards females and kittens.  He just loves to meet and greet his new babies and calls for the girls whenever they are out of site.

He has already proven that his gentle characteristics, loving nature and appearance are passed on to his offspring.  His Son Ra is a perfect example of how personable Aby's can be.  He holds his new owner's hand when they sit on the couch to watch TV together.

The Aby has slight nose-break, rounded muzzle with a slight indentation and a firm chin.  The intact males, in adulthood will begin to develop jowls, making their face appear slightly wider.  The Aby coat is distinctly ticked, with three or four bands of color, ending in the darker shade (ticking) of their overall coat color.  Most characteristic of all are the markings... which extend from the inner edge of the eye to the top of the head and from the outer edge of the eye to the ears.   A "dorsal line" of ticking color should extend from the back of the head along the spine and tail, ending at the tip of the tail in a solid shade of the ticking.  There should be no heavy necklet (sometimes called necklace) or bars or any other marks, although, a faint broken necklet, or slight leg barring is acceptable.
