Denali is a beautiful example of the Ruddy, with wonderful deep shades and undertones to her coat.  Her coat has the full four bands of color that comprise the ticking.  I call her my "Rainbow" kitty as depending on the light she is in she can appear to be very different in coloration from one time to the next.  This is typical of any Abyssinian that has the proper ticking.  The translucent layers let the coat take on different high lights depending on the background and lighting.  She has the most intense gold eyes, that have a reflective blue background, very striking!

She loves to sleep under the covers with me and can't wait till I head for bed at night.  She is also very insistent that she receive her daily treat (a vitamin pill) every single morning.  She will climb to the top of my chest of drawers and in her quiet squeaky little voice inform me that it is time for her treats. 

Denali is the alpha female in our cattery and makes sure that all the kittens and other queens receive plenty of attention...She will check everyone's ears and promptly clean them... a real "mom" kind of thing.
